|
1. Competing Models:
- CHEVROLET: Monte Carlo
- PONTIAC: Grand Prix
- FORD: Fusion
- CHRYSLER: Charger

2. Bodies:
- Steel or aluminium bodies allowed, ABC bodies allowed, max. quarter panel height will be 34 1/2 in., and max. length from centerline of rear axl to base of spoiler will be 47 in. ABC bodies must fit center line template with a min. roof height of 47 in. with driver Rear spoiler 5 x 60 in. max. mounted on further back than rear bumper cover. ABC bodies must use all ABC body panels and rear spoiler.
- Only ABC Bodies may use fiber glass rear quarters. No 24 series fenders allowed.
- No dirt noses or fenders allowed, No down force bodies allowed.
- Body must be centered on frame +/-1 in. from either side rail.
- Body maybe interchanged between manufacturers.
- Floorboard & front firewall must be minimum 22 gauge steel (steel is strongly recommended for rear firewall & fillers also)
- NO enclosed cockpit.
- Stock after market nose & tail permitted. Fiberglass hoods permitted. No holes allowed in hood.
- Rear of hood will be no more than 3 in. from any point measured from windshield.
- Hood & trunk must be hinged, positive pin type fasteners required (minimum 2 trunk/3 hood, 4 hood recommended)
- Cars without hinges must have external tow hooks.
- Right side door windows allowed. Max 12 in. from A post.
- No exterior rub rails allowed.
- Roofs will be stock with no added pieces.
- NO carbon fiber hoods or roofs.
3. Car Weights: New For 2008
- Part # 58603 Crate Motors sealed by Butler McMaster with Act seal will be allowed to compete.
- 2850 lbs. after qualifying races
- 2825 lbs. after 50 lap feature
- 2800 lbs. after 100 lap feature
- 2775 lbs. after 150 lap feature
- 56.0% max. left side weight at all times. Lead will be painted white with car number marked, and lead is only weight devise allowed.
4. Chassis:
- Minimum wheel base 104 in.
- Any stock or box type perimeter frames permitted.
- Right side frame rail must be a minimum of 40 in. long.
- Maximum chassis offset of 1 in. is permitted.
- Stock or tube snout permitted. All front snouts will go over the top of the lower control arms.
- Side rails must be a minimum of 11 in. around total (example 2X3 or 2 1/2 X 2 1/2).
- Maximum tread width is 64 1/2 in. front & rear (measured from outside of left wheel to outside of right wheel minus wheel width.)
- Minimum frame & lead height 4 inches WITH DRIVER.
- All engines will be located in the chassis so that the center line of the forward most spark plug hole is no further back than the center line between top ball joint.
- Engine will be located with a minimum of 11 in. clearance from the center line of the crank shaft to the ground.
- Engine will be located within 1 in. of the chassis center line.
5. Suspension:
- Tubular upper A-Frames are permitted. Any stock style lower A-Frame permitted. Lower A-Frames maybe fabricated.
- Rear suspension maybe 3 point, 4 point, or truck arm. Solid lower tubular trailing arms with heim ends.
- Rubber snubber in right rear allowed
- No rear sway bars allowed of any kind ALLOWED.
- NEW - One upper linch pivot with rubber bushing allowed
- Koni Shocks only model numbers that may be used 30-7436, 30-7325, 30-9325, 30-9436 or 30-1309 must remain as manufactured, and may be swapped anytime with WMMP or ACT inventory
- Only one tubular rear panard bar is permitted with 2 heim joints.
- Aftermarket spindles allowed. No offset or aluminum spindles.
- Rack & pinion steering is permitted.
- No inboard weight jacking or adjusters of any kind allowed.
- NEW - Sway bars must be one piece only side to side, and must mount on bottom of front clip and work off of lower control arms.
6. Rear End:
- Any non-independent rear end permitted.
- Aftermarket gears, axles & hubs allowed.
- Rear ends may use spools, NO lockers of any kind.
- Solid drive plates only.
- Drive shaft shall be steel, painted white & have a min. of two 1/8 in. X 2 in. straps or chains around it.
- NO traction control devises allowed.
7. Brakes:
- Four wheel brakes in working order required on all four wheels.
- NEW - Aftermarket 4 piston max. calipers & rotors permitted.
- Aftermarket master cylinders and pedals permitted.
- Mechanical balance bar & cockpit adjuster permitted.
8. Wheels / Tires:
- 8 in. maximum steel wheel with a offset between 3 in. and 5 in. measured from the back outer edge of wheel to center hole.
- Eight inch track tire is mandatory on all 4 wheels.
- See Tire rules for more details.
9. Transmission / Clutch Assembly:
- Any stock production 3 or 4 speed transmission permitted, with a minimum of 3 working forward gears and 1 reverse.
- NO Automatic transmissions.
- No 5-speed or variable ratio transmission allowed.
- Steel scatter shield is required on all cars using stock type flywheel & clutch assembly.
- Minimum size clutches: Ram 6 1/4 in., Tilton 7 1/4 in., and Quarter Master 7 1/4 in. Bell housing shall have a 1 in inspection hole near the bottom to inspect clutch.
- Clutch assemblies must be steel. NO carbon fiber parts allowed.
10. Cooling System:
- Any copper or aluminum core radiator.
- No carbon fiber parts allowed.
- Cooling fan in working order required. (Electric fan is optional)
- Aftermarket pulleys are permitted.
- Radiator maybe shrouded.
- Radiator catch can minimum 1 quart is required. Overflow line must discharge between hood and windshield on the right side.
- NO ANTIFREEZE ($200.00 fine or 1 week suspension if caught with antifreeze).
11. Fuel Cell:
- Fuel cell will be centered between rear frame rails & be a maximum of 22 gal.
- Must be enclosed in 22 gauge steel container.
- Fuel Cell must be a minimum of 8 in. from bottom of cell to ground.
- All fuel cells must be equipped with a rollover safety check valve in vent line.
- Approved fuel only. No additives allowed.
12. Roll Cage Construction:
- A Minimum of 1 ¾ X .095 wall tubing shall be employed throughout.
- DOM tubing is recommended for main hoop, "halo bar", front uprights & drivers door bars.
- Roll cages must have a minimum of 38 in. from the top of the frame to the top of the cage measured in any location. (call with questions)
- Main cage structure shall be symmetrical.
- Driver's side shall have 4 door bars; upper 3 must curve to the door contour.
- Right side door bars maybe straight configuration, with minimum of 2 horizontal bars & 1 diagonal bar.
13. Engine:
- Carburetor must have correct original bowls, bodies, throttle plates, and metering rods. NO flow work or polishing.
- NO flow work or polishing, must pass Holley no go guages
- Choke plate maybe removed.
- Choke tower must remain a 1 in. tall (max.) stock straight walled two hole adaptor along with 2 gaskets standard thickness permitted.
- Cold air boxes allowed, no extensions protruding materials above hood.
- A stock ZZ4 crate motor is the only motor allowed, no reverse mount bell housings alternators must be run on the front of engine, and stock OEM HEI distributor only must be sealed from Butler MacMasters with ACT seal.
- NEW EXHAUST RULE - No 180 degree headers allowed, may use 2 into 1 Y pipe, no X pipes allowed, no torque pipes allowed.
Tire Rule:
- Opening day only teams may buy up to 8 tires, after that day new cars may only purchase six tires. These tires may be new or used tires from last year.
- The first time you race is when you can bring last years tires into your rotation ONLY. Only one tire a week after that and that tire must be bought at the track the day of the race. That tire also has to be on the car during the feature race. Registered tires are part of tech and only registered tires may be run in heat and feature races.
- Tires will be registered to the car not the driver.
- No Chemical treating of tires of any kind on or in tires!!!! Any tire or tires not meeting the durometer rule will be considered out of stock. You will lose tire, wheel and much more.
Rules subject to change
New for 2009:
- 1. Koni Shocks #30 30-7647 Allowed.
- 2. Clear rear spoiler only, no tape, no lettering allowed.
- Crate engine may be purchased, rebuilt and sealed from RPM Engines.
New for 2010:
- 1. No bump stops allowed
- 2. No chain allowed on left front
- 3. No suspension travel limiting devises allowed
